Weekender, Terry Crisp, Sioux Falls, SD
Mr. Crisp has sent us pictures of his Weekender Nine Lives. Terry has been president of the BackYard Yacht Builders, a builder's organisation for our boat designs. It's a great group, by and for builders, and we urge everyone to check them out!

Modified Weekender, Larry Baldwin, Pace, FL

Mr. Baldwin modified the cockpit area of his Weekender Bettsy's Honor to have a bunch of storage hatches. It's an interesting change, and pretty practical. We sort of prefer the curved seatbacks, but personalisation is one of the great things about building one's own boat!

Thanks for the interesting concept Larry!

Weekender, Bill Smith, Chesapeake, VA

Mr. Smith has launched his Weekender Wild Onion! Bill has had a web site for quite some time; one of the first Weekender site. We're glad to see the Wild Onion hit the water. Mr. Smith has enlarged the jib a bit, as is shown in the before-and-after shots above.

Modified Weekender, Bill Paxton,
Apple Valley, MN

Mr. Paxton's Weekender Surprise has been beautifully finished, and he has done a very nice job of modifying the boat to be open-decked. A few builders have built their Weekenders without the cabin. Bill has a very pretty boat, and a handy one for taking lots of people out on day sails! Looks like another Weekender in the background above...

Thanks Bill!

Weekender, Joe Gifford,
Denver, CO
Mr. Gifford is almost finished with his Weekender Tumbleweed. It looks nice with the two-color paint job. We look forward to launch shots!

Weekender, Phil Gowans,
West Valley, UT

Mr. Gowans has submitted this shot of his launch. A very well-finished Weekender indeed!

Our thanks to Mr. Gowans!

Weekender, Daryl Bush, Manistique, MI
Mr. Bush sent us this pic of his Weekender. He took just over a year to build it, and he included a poem he wrote for the launching!

The Family Yacht

WE DEDICATE THIS VESSEL:

TO THE PENNIES PINCHED
FROM OUR HOUSEHOLD BUDGET
AND SACRIFICES MADE
FROM SUCH A TIGHT BUDGET

FROM LAYING HER KEEL
TO TRIMMING HER SAILS...
REMEMBERING ALL THE PLY AND NAILS
EVERYTIME THAT WE SET SAIL.

WE WILL CHERISH ALL
OOHS AND AHS
AS WE HEAD FOR
THE NEXT HOORAH!

Thanks Daryl!
