The Pedal Racer is a pedal car for the ages! In this case, perhaps the younger ages, but the wonderful lines of the full-size Bugattis are rolling pieces of sculpture which we think are pretty much timeless! Not surprising, seeing as how the Bugatti family had many great sculptors and designers, creating art pieces ranging from furniture to amazing racing cars and elegant boulevard machines! Our Pedal Racer tries to capture a little of this iconic French style with elements from the Type 35's, a bit of Type 59, and a little of bit of some others. It's a classic racer you can keep in your garage, ready to hit the track when speed-minded youngsters come around!

The drive system is lever-type, rather than chain, for easy maintenance and safety.

The seat is adjustable to fit different drivers (in fact, our office manager at the time we built the Pedal Racer was a petite woman and she used to have fun tearing around the driveway in the car!)

The Pedal Racer is a winner, both with drivers and their shop crews (or builders, in this case!)

The Pedal Racer requires no welding skill, as is usual for our projects. All of the materials are easy to find at hardware stores and home centers, and no special tools are required to build the car. The body of the Pedal Racer is largely aluminum (as a proper racer should be!), with structural elements of plywood and lumber.

The iconic Bugatti Type 35-style wheels are made of plywood for ease-of-construction while keeping a good visual style.
