This pedal project uses the same type of lever-drive as our Pedal Bugatti and Delivery Wagon machines, as it's a safe, low maintenance drive system. The steering, wheels, and drive system are all made from simple hardware store items easily modified with a vise and hand tools.

No welding is required for any of our projects. The entire body is built with lumber and plywood and full-size patterns are included to make sure everything shapes up right! (this includes the all-important fender shapes and grill, and lots more!) And the new downloadable digital format plans still have the patterns!

The Pedal TC is based on a car we've always loved: The MG TC. The TC is arguably one of the most essential sports cars of all of motoring history and we have always admired their style and the fun they embody. When we were thinking about what pedal cars we might want to make, the MG TC was a quick choice.

The Pedal Projects have been a big part of Stevenson Projects since the very first days of the Art Of Making Wooden Toys book! We've always loved getting photos of pedal machines from our builders and here are a few we'd like to share — so many wonderful stories and great shots!
